Pope, a partner at the law firm Hasty Pope, LLP, LLP, has been selected as the 2017-18 Treasurer of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association (GTLA). Pope has previously served as a GTLA regional vice-president. New officers will be sworn in at the 2017 GTLA Annual Convention and President’s Gala, which will be held at the Ritz Carlton-Buckhead in Atlanta on April 27-28. Other officers to be sworn in at the Friday evening President’s Gala include Mike Prieto, President; Laurie Speed, President-Elect; Dan Snipes, Executive Vice President; Lyle Warshauer, Secretary; and Jess Davis, Parliamentarian.
Founded in 1956, the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association is dedicated to strengthening and upholding Georgia’s civil justice system and protecting the rights of citizens and consumers. Its prestigious Guardian of Justice Award is presented annually to a member who has given extraordinary service. The annual convention affords members the opportunity to obtain mandatory continuing legal education credits.
